Ticket Donation Programs
Wolf Trap offers two types of ticket donation programs to qualified nonprofit organizations:
Fundraising Ticket Donation Program for Filene Center Performances
Wolf Trap Foundation occasionally provides Filene Center performance tickets to qualified nonprofit organizations to be used as items for auctions, raffles, or other events.
A maximum of two tickets (one donation) to a specific performance during the upcoming Filene Center season will be awarded if the request is granted. These tickets will be determined by Wolf Trap and cannot be exchanged or refunded. Every possible effort will be made to align the date of the performance of the donated tickets so that it is after your event date.
Due to the number of requests that we receive from worthy causes, please understand that Wolf Trap is unable to donate to the same organization more than once in the same year or to an organization that is also participating in our Public Service Ticket Program. The request must also come directly from a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, as we are unable to donate to third-party organizations or directly to individuals.
This program follows a specific timeframe in order to determine ticket availability for the summer Filene Center season and we are unable to make a donation at other times.
How to Request Fundraising Ticket Donations
Please do not submit any requests outside of the below dates as they will not be considered.
- We will accept donation requests for consideration for the 2009 Filene Center Season from November 1, 2008 until January 30, 2009. (Your event must occur between February 15 and August 20, 2009 to be eligible.)
- To apply for consideration for the Filene Center Ticket Donation Program please complete the Donation Program Request Form.
- Organizations will be contacted after February 15, 2009 via email regarding the status of their request. Please do not call or email to check on status.
Public Service Ticket Program
In addition to the Fundraising Ticket Donation Program, Wolf Trap Foundation is proud to support qualifying organizations in the Washington, DC area by providing over $60,000 annually in complimentary tickets to select Filene Center and Children’s Theatre-In-The-Woods performances through our Public Service Ticket Program. This program is for nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organizations that serve underprivileged, disabled, economically disadvantaged or at-risk children or adults in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. These tickets are solely for use by the clients of the organization, and are not to be used for fundraising or other purposes.
Does Your Organization Qualify?
If you would like to learn if your organization qualifies for this program, please email your organization background and contact information to donationrequest@wolftrap.org, and put “Public Service Ticket Program” in the subject line. Please also indicate your interest in either Filene Center or Children’s Theatre-In-The-Woods tickets as these are two separate programs. If your organization is invited to participate you will receive a packet of information in March.
