Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts website! I encourage you to explore these pages to learn about Wolf Trap's mission to serve our local, national, and international communities. Through diverse performances at our three venues—the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, The Barns at Wolf Trap, and Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods—and educational experiences for people of all ages, Wolf Trap plays an important role as a national leader in arts and education. As a nonprofit organization, your patronage and support helps keep the magic of our performances and programs alive!

I hope you will join us for an exciting season of world-class performances from October to May in The Barns at Wolf Trap. With the superb acoustics and cozy, intimate atmosphere created by the 200-year-old wood interior, The Barns provides one of the most unique ways to experience everything from chamber music to folk and jazz to stand-up comedy. While you enjoy these performances, you may also notice some changes occurring throughout The Barns as part of Wolf Trap's new "Go Green" environmental initiative. As a leading arts organization, we encourage our community, artists, and other venues to celebrate the relationship between art and nature and work together to preserve the earth for generations to come. Please visit our Go Green with Wolf Trap page for more information about this exciting initiative.

The Barns is a year-round venue, integral to Wolf Trap's mission of bringing the performing arts to a wide audience as well as providing educational opportunities. During the summer months, the space houses the renowned Wolf Trap Opera Company. This nationally acclaimed residency program introduces the opera stars of tomorrow in some of their first leading roles. From October through May, The Barns presents a diverse range of programming, including the question-and-answer sessions of The Discovery Series, hosted by Rich Kleinfeldt, in which audience members can enjoy a unique chamber music experience while learning more about the genre, the artists, and the music.

Seeing a show at Wolf Trap not only offers tremendous entertainment value, but also advances our nonprofit mission of arts and education for learners of all ages in this region and beyond. Renowned programs like the Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, nationally recognized internships for college students, and workshops for childhood educators would not be possible without the continued support of our patrons, donors, and partners. Thank you, and we hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,
Terrence D. Jones
